How to create and configure coliving rooms — including check-in/out times, room groups, amenities, and current room status.

Creating Rooms

  1. Go to Inventory → Rooms
  2. Click Create Rooms
  3. Fill in:
    • Name — e.g., "Room 3", "Garden Suite"
    • Location — select where the room is located
    • Floor — select the floor
    • Type — choose the room type (Single Room or Room Type)
    • Number of Rooms — how many rooms to create (shown only for room types)
    • Capacity — number of guests per room
  4. Submit

After creation, you’ll be redirected to the room page where you can:

  • Add pricing (rates)
  • Edit room details
  • Upload photos and manage the gallery

Room Groups

When creating multiple rooms under a room type, they are automatically grouped. This is useful for similar rooms (e.g., "Standard Room × 4"), and availability is managed automatically.

Room Statuses

Each room has two combined indicators visible in the admin panel:

Displayed Status What it means
Vacant · Clean Unoccupied and ready
Vacant · Dirty Unoccupied but needs cleaning
Reserved Booking exists but guest has not checked in yet
Occupied Guest is currently checked in
Maintenance Not available due to maintenance

The housekeeping status (set via Change Room Status) includes: Ready, Cleaning, Not Ready, and Maintenance.

After check-out, the status automatically changes to Cleaning, making the room Vacant · Dirty until marked as Ready.

Updating Room Status

  1. Go to Inventory → Rooms
  2. Select the room(s)
  3. Click Actions → Change Room Status
  4. Choose the new status
  5. Add notes if needed
  6. Save

All changes are logged automatically.

Viewing Room Statuses

Go to Inventory → Rooms to see all rooms and their current status. Use filters to quickly find specific rooms.


Common Questions

Can I set pricing during room creation?
No — pricing (rates) is added after the room is created.

What if a room needs maintenance?
Set its status to Maintenance so it won’t be available for booking.

How do I deactivate a room?
To deactivate change the Visibility to Hidden Room.
